victor safe & lock dial problem | |
my mom has an old victor safe & lock safe (approx. 1950's) and is having problems opening the safe. she has the combination, but i am questioning the dialing pattern she has given me. she has told me that you hit the first number 4 times (going the same direction), the second number 3 times (the opposite direction of the first number), the third number you hit twice (opposite direction of the second number), then you hit the second to last number, hear a click, then dial to the final number where you hear another click.
this doesn't sound right to me based upon my safe knowledge....so, i wanted to ask around a bit to see if anyone could help to answer this question. thank you!

it is normally a 4 turns to the left, 3 turns to the right, and two turns to the left, thenright to zero to open
