how do i find the combination for a floor safe.

major safe co., los angeles.series number14211/ model number1260ee ...it's a floor safe and it is opened...can't use it until we figure out how to close it and open it again...kind of looks like a hatbox with a combination dial on the top, a handle to lift it (it's heavy), and 3 buttons sticking out the sides...anyone have any ideas...also is it a 3 or 4 number combination????
